Raigad: The Maharashtra Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 4 lakh to the family of those who died in Raigad bus accident. The government also decided to bear the medical expenses of those who were injured in the accident. 25 bodies have been recovered till now, according to the NDRF. At least 33 university staffers from Konkan Agriculture University in Ratnagiri were killed and one miraculously survived when a private bus on a picnic trip plunged into a deep ravine near Poladpur, around 175 km from Mumbai, on Saturday morning.

Bengaluru: Gauri Lankesh, a senior journalist and activist in Bengaluru, has been shot dead at her residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar.

The Bengaluru Police Commissioner has confirmed the incident; top police officers have rushed to the spot. 

"We learnt that the victim was shot dead from close range when she was standing at her house in Rajarajeswari Nagar (in the suburbs) around 8.00 p.m.," a senior police officer said.

Mr. Rijiju said India had “absorbed maximum number of immigrants” and that “illegal immigrants have to be deported as per law”.

AIIMS Nursing Officer Admit Card Released @ Aiimsexams.org; Download Now

New Delhi: AIIMS, New Delhi has released the admit card for the recruitment test for for 257 Grade B Nursing Officer posts which is scheduled to be held on September 11. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nursing Officer admit card can be downloaded from the official exam website of the medical institute, aiimsexams.org. AIIMS would conduct a written test for selection of candidates for the post on September in all major cities of the country.

According to a notification from theAIIMMS New Delhi, the results for the recruitment test would be announced on September 20. 

AIIMS Raipur has also released the admit card for the recruitment test for the post of staff nurse grade -I (nursing sisters) and Staff nurse grade-II on direct recruitment basis. AIIMS Raipur had notified for 475 vacancies and the application process was started on July 15.

New Delhi: China and India have great potential for cooperation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday, seeking to cast their difficult ties in a positive light ahead of next week's visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Monday, both countries ended a more than two-month-old stand-off near the border in Sikkim, just in time for Sunday's kick-off of a summit of the BRICS grouping of nations, which also includes Brazil, Russia and South Africa. 

It's normal for the two giant neighbours to have differences, Mr Wang told a news briefing. "What's important is that we put these problems in the appropriate place, and appropriately handle and control them in the spirit of mutual respect and based on the consensus of both countries' leaders," he said. "There is huge potential for cooperation between China and India," Mr Wang added, without giving details.
